About & Work

I'm a software engineer based in Yorkshire, with a professional life that can be summed up as "busy & varied".

I spend my days building, maintaining, and improving software systems, and my off-time with either horses, chainmail, bikes or barbells.

If you’re looking for someone who can ship code, stay calm when things go sideways, and still have enough energy left to dice vegetables from horse-back I’m probably your person.

QUICK FACTS

  • 🧠 Strong background in software engineering.
  • 🐎 Equestrian life β€” swords and armour optional.
  • πŸ‹οΈ Weightlifter β€” because healthy body = healthy mind.
  • 🏍️ Passionate biker β€” happy on the road, or drinking tea at cafes.

What I'm Into

A mix of clean code, big animals, swords & heavy lifts.

πŸ’»

Software Engineering

Building and improving systems with a focus on reliability, clarity, and ideally not waking up to WhatsApp messages at 3am.

🐎

Equestrian

Working with horses β€” timing, patience, armour and balance. Turns out those help in software projects too.

πŸ‹οΈ

Weightlifting

Progressive overload in the gym and in skills β€” trying to make sure the deadlift goes up and bug count goes down.
