Always up for solving hard problems, whether it's in code, on two wheels, four legs, or under a barbell.
About & Work
I'm a software engineer based in Yorkshire, with a professional life that can be summed up as "busy & varied".
I spend my days building, maintaining, and improving software systems, and my off-time with either motorcycles, horses or barbells.
If youβre looking for someone who can ship code, stay calm when things go sideways, and still have enough energy left to ride out β literally β Iβm probably your person.

Bespoke Labelling Solution
Modernised a legacy Windows labelling app: refactored the codebase, built a bespoke patch panel designer and 2D WYSIWYG layout designer, and expanded the range and capability of data connectors.
Visit site βWhat I'm Into
A mix of clean code, noisy engines, big animals, and heavy lifts.
Software Engineering
Building and improving systems with a focus on reliability, clarity, and ideally not waking up to WhatsApp messages at 3am.
Motorcycling
Life on two wheels: twisty roads, shiny bikes and drinking tea at various cafes.
Equestrian
Working with horses β timing, patience, and balance. Turns out those help in software projects too.
Weightlifting
Progressive overload in the gym and in skills β trying to make sure the deadlift goes up and bug count goes down.
